Involve your Vet Clinic
We would like to work in collaboration with your veterinary practice, to make an impact on the number of unwanted animals being born across the country.
We offer vouchers across Aotearoa New Zealand at different times of the year.
It reduces the number of unwanted litters and lost animals, improves welfare for these animals, and positively impacts the environment. Microchipping is also a great way to help owners be reunited with their lost pets.
This website includes helpful resources for you to view and download, including some in different languages.
We are excited to be launching a new Snip ‘n’ Chip campaign for cat owners in Taupō, Taihape, Ruapehu, Rangitikei, and other surrounding areas!
From 19 July 2023, we are working with local participating vet clinics to offer this service to cat owners who are struggling with the cost of desexing and microchipping. Vouchers help those in need get their cat desexed and microchipped for $30.
If your cat is already desexed, you can use your voucher to have your cat microchipped and registered on the NZCAR database.
Bookings are now OPEN, so click BOOK NOW or head to https://book.spcadesexing.nz/ to check if you’re eligible and register for your Snip ‘n’ Chip voucher.
If you know someone who needs help with the online system, you can complete the registration on their behalf.
Thank you so much to our participating vet clinics for helping us to make this important campaign possible.
Please click here to see the SPCA Desexing Voucher Terms and Conditions. To find out more information on desexing and answers to common questions, head over to our FAQ page.
PLEASE REMEMBER – a limited number of vouchers are available to help those who require financial assistance. Please, only get a voucher if you need one and intend to use it. We have noticed some vouchers are never used, or bookings are made with vet clinics but never attended. When this happens, it prevents someone else from using the voucher who might really need it.
